Gillian Anderson: “The truth is nowhere else but in wine”

For the ‘X Files’ star, wine is simply the fruit of the earth and the fruits of the labour of men and women who work in the vineyards all year round. There’s nothing supernatural about that!

I'm one of those people who can't imagine a good meal without wine! It’s not an option. I like wine that tells me a story. Not advertisements or experts in the field, but people who work in the vineyards and bottle the fruit of their devotion, hard work and patience. Three qualities I think are essential for a wine to stand out from the crowd.

But I am also not someone who "drinks" her bank account by spending money willy-nilly on incredible growths. Saying that, if you invited me to an exceptional restaurant and offered me an outstanding wine, I really don't see why I would say no! (laughs)
