Next Thursday November 27th save the date for a new event: “Collio Day”
A day to have a glass of Collio DOC wine, a project stablished by the Collio Wine Consortium and Slow Food Italy to promote a great appellation that turned a small piece of land in Gorizia province into a well-known appreciated area thanks to its great white wines.
“Collio Day” is one of the events created also to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Collio Consortium, one of the most ancient wine appellations in Europe, the third in Italy to be created and the first in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, in the border with Slovenia.
A journey to discover the oenology and the specialties of this north eastern corner of Italy that will take place in the main cities as Rome, Milan, Florence, Bologna, Bari, Naples, Turin, Venice and Padua. In the places member of Slow Food, producers from Collio will propose tasting their labels: autochthonous Friulano, Ribolla Gialla and Malvasia and also international varieties as Sauvignon, Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay, but not only. Wines will be paired to Friuli specialties to create a 360° savoury event.
